Please don’t let life happen to you and pass you by. Having self growth goals will help you start manifesting your dream life.

It’s the new year, new vibes, and energy is high. I, for one, am excited for the new year. We all have our vision boards created and ready to tackle every single goal. However, I want to make sure that we all achieve our goals this year. Because remember, when we said last year was our year? Yeah…
It’s nothing to be embarrassed about; we all do it. We all put up these delulu dreams without a tangible way to achieve them. Then our year looks like a repeat of the last ten years. But not anymore, we cannot be delulu without a solulu. In other words, you need an action plan.
I have had multiple vision boards, with most of them only having 1-2 things come true (last year, I finally got a Dyson Vacuum but that’s all that I accomplished. It was a really good sale). Honestly, I would make them either by myself or with friends and then forget about them. Almost like I am magically expecting the board to “come to life”. Or if I just prayed hard enough, it would just *pouf* into my life. That’s not how any of it works, and it will never work that way.
You must take action, have faith that it’ll work out in your favor, and surrender the outcome. Creating self growth goals will help you create your dream life because it’ll help you stay on track.
This post is all about self growth goals and how they’ll be the reason you manifest your dream life this year!
Creating Self Growth Goals That Actually Work
Start by setting clear intentions for yourself. I wanted to try something new and ask myself the four W’s:
When did I want to accomplish this goal by? Where do I want to go this year? Why do I want to accomplish any of my goals? And finally, who do I want to become or who do I want to meet? (or even both).
These questions not only help you attach emotion to your goal, but when written down, you are over 40% more likely to achieve your goals. I don’t know about you, but I’m a girl who loves high odds.
Let your mind wander
This is my absolute favorite thing to do. I am a daydreamer through and through. My life is grand, and I am basically a Disney Princess living in a fairytale. It’s my movie, and I am the main character.
Instead of a vision board this year, I created a vision storyboard as if I were creating a brand new, blockbuster film. The movie titled Hello 32: Where Delusion Becomes Reality
“Briana is a wealthy, happier, successful content creator who brings in $5-10K a month doing what she loves when she wants. Her career offers her so much freedom and flexibility in her and her family’s life. Briana loves to wear matching sets, smell good, and have amazing, glowing skin. She takes her self-care seriously because when she feels good, her days are good. She is a happy and kept wife who goes on regular date nights/days. Her marriage is thriving and loving. She and her husband are as much in love as they were when dating. She attempts new hobbies with childlike wonder and doesn’t worry if she’ll be bad at it. She does it to see if she likes it. She doesn’t try to monetize every hobby; she’s learned that some hobbies are meant to be for fun. She encourages her children to do the same. She seeks new adventures for herself and for her family. She takes a new way to work, makes her coffee a little different, and takes on life’s challenges head-on. She discovers that there is magic in life when you have a little faith (and Jesus). She tackles debt and moves into her dream house because she said she would. She no longer plays it small, and she develops the confidence and discipline needed to conquer these challenges and to fully be herself.”

This is the time to get creative, and if the goal doesn’t scare you, aim higher!
Reverse Engineer The Goals
Now that you know how you want your dream life to end up, this is where your self growth goals are going to shine.

Using my dream self as an example: I know that my dream self wears matching sets, so this is the time when you slowly buy and replace old sweats and joggers. I bought some adorable sets from Fashion Nova on sale! They 100% feel soft and comfy.
If you know that you need to make $5,000 a month to afford your ideal lifestyle, you need to make roughly $1250 a week. Or 250 per day (Monday-Friday), selling a product for $30 to nine people.
Reverse engineering your goals makes the big goal seem so much more manageable and achievable. These goals will become part of your daily habits, creating discipline and a new schedule.

Creating Your New Routines to align with your Self Growth Goals
Once you have your vision in mind and reversed engineered the big goals, it’s time to create systems and habits to support your goals.

If you wanted to start creating digital products to sell, dedicate a clean space to be your “office.” Have your laptop completely charged and ready to go. Brainstorm your ideas to research and have a dedicated notebook for your notes.
If you wanted to start working out, have an idea of what workout you want and pick out your clothes the night before. Or if you wanted to start painting, have all your paint supplies all together.

Weekly Reflections to Maintain Your Self Development Goals
Having weekly reflections will allow you to track your progress. You should be able to ask yourself what worked for the week and what didn’t. Knowing what to double down on and what to tweak will allow you to advance so much quicker.
Some of my favorite reads on weekly reflections would be The 12 Week Year by Brian P. Moran & Michael Lennington. Not only does this book help you create a framework to achieve your self growth goals, but how to maintain progress.
Tracking your goals allows you to see that you are visibly making progress, as well as maintain what many people do not. I’ve read that grit beats natural talent any day and at any time. It is the ones that stay consistent that see the end of the tunnel.
Creating your dream life does not have to be hard, complicated, or impossible. Setting realistic (but audacious) self growth goals will propel you into a life you once thought was a fantasy. It is said that around 92% of people fail to achieve their goals. You can be a part of the 8% of people who achieved what was meant for them.
This post was all about how to set and achieve personal growth goals. Become the best version of yourself.
